    Shipping Terms and Conditions

    1. Surface Freight Charges

    To reduce shipping damage, any single item over 75 lbs will ship LTL freight. Any order with a combined weight over 300 lbs may also ship LTL.
    Freight charges follow these rules.

    Freight charges apply only to the 48 contiguous United States. Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico require separate freight quotes.

    2. Order Cancellations

    Orders cannot be cancelled after they have been processed. Once an order is processed, you are responsible for the full order value and applicable freight charges.

    3. General Returns

    All return requests must be made within 30 days of the invoice date.

    A valid Return Authorization Number (RA#) is required for all returns. Approved RA#s expire 30 days after they are issued. Returned items must arrive at Certus Industries Corp freight prepaid.

    Non-returnable products:
    Special order items, paints, chemicals, lubricants, LPG tanks, and fire extinguishers are not returnable once ordered.

    Restocking fee:
    Unless the return is due to a Certus Industries Corp error, a 25 percent restocking fee applies to each returned line item.

    Defective items:
    Returned items claimed as defective are fully tested. If confirmed defective, Certus Industries Corp will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or issue full credit including freight.
    If the item is found to be functional, a testing fee plus the 25 percent restocking fee will apply. Return freight will be billed to the customer.

    No credit will be issued for items damaged by corrosion, abuse, alteration, improper installation, or misuse.

    To request a Return Authorization, customers must provide:

    • Part number and description

    • Reason for return

    • Related Certus Industries Corp invoice number

    4. Core Charges

    Core credits require the core to be returned within 30 days.

    Deductions may apply for:

    • Disassembled cores

    • Missing components

    • Nonstandard or unserviceable replacement parts

    • Incorrect configuration compared to the supplied remanufactured unit

    Cores must be returned in the original container. Failure to do so may result in a $100 container charge.

    5. Starter and Alternator Warranty

    Certus Industries Corp warrants starters and alternators against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the original sale date.

    Defective units must be returned freight prepaid with:

    • Proof of purchase

    • Explanation of the issue

    All warranty returns are tested before credit is issued. Units that test without defects will be returned to the customer with a $10 testing fee, freight collect.

    6. Limitation of Liability

    Certus Industries Corp is not liable for special, incidental, consequential, indirect, or similar damages arising from breach of warranty, contract, negligence, or any other legal theory. This includes but is not limited to lost profits or revenue.
    Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply in all jurisdictions.

    7. Taxes

    The purchaser is responsible for all sales, use, excise, or other taxes required by law. The purchaser agrees to reimburse Certus Industries Corp for any taxes paid on the purchaser’s behalf.

    8. No Waiver

    Failure by Certus Industries Corp to enforce any term does not waive the right to enforce that term in the future.

    9. Export Control Compliance

    All products and related technology are subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
    The purchaser agrees not to sell, transfer, export, or re-export any product in violation of applicable laws, including but not limited to:

    • The Export Administration Regulations

    • The International Traffic in Arms Regulations

    • The Foreign Assets Control Regulations

    Exports or re-exports to denied parties or sanctioned countries are prohibited without proper authorization.

    Violations may result in termination of this Agreement and any business relationship. The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold Certus Industries Corp harmless from damages, liabilities, and expenses resulting from export control violations.
